As we stepped onto Exchange Avenue, it felt like we had traveled back in time to the era of cowboys and cattle drives. The brick-paved streets, wooden sidewalks, and historic buildings instantly transported us to the heart of Texas's rich cowboy culture.
The Twice-Daily Cattle Drive
One of the highlights of our visit was witnessing the world-famous Fort Worth Herd cattle drive. Watching genuine Texas Longhorns being driven down Exchange Avenue by real cowboys was a sight to behold. It's not every day you get to see a piece of living history right before your eyes!
Exploring Western Heritage
Our team enjoyed exploring the many attractions the Stockyards has to offer:
- Stockyards Museum: We delved into the area's fascinating history and learned about its significance in shaping Fort Worth.
- Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame: This was a great opportunity to honor the men and women who have excelled in the Western lifestyle.
- Shops and Boutiques: We couldn't resist picking up some authentic Western gear as souvenirs.
Taste of Texas
No visit to the Stockyards would be complete without sampling some mouthwatering Texas cuisine. We indulged in some of the best BBQ we've ever tasted and enjoyed refreshing local brews at one of the many saloons.
Team Building, Nebustream Style
As a tech company, our daily lives are often centered around screens and digital innovation. This trip to the Stockyards provided a refreshing change of pace and allowed us to connect with each other in a completely different environment. We even tried our hand at mechanical bull riding – let's just say some of us discovered hidden talents while others found new respect for real cowboys!
